This was my parting advice to women entrepreneurs as part of a panel on “HerPower: Womenpreneurs Shaping the Future”.
It was a wonderful UOB FinLab event where I had the pleasure of sharing my entrepreneurial journey with TriOn & Co. I learnt so much from Olive Tai, Belicia Tan, my fellow panellists, and Sher-li Torrey, our brilliant moderater. Despite our very many differences, it is assuring to hear of our shared stories and advice to overcome the various challenges we face and continue to face.
Beyond the panel, it was a pleasure to hear the inspiring journey of Ethel Tan from Edith Patisserie and to hear about UOB’s own journey of supporting women. Did you know the UOB Ladies’ Card turns 35 years old this year?
It was easy to see the pride that UOB takes through Janet Young ‘s impassionate closing remarks. As she eloquently phrased it, “women always have the last word”!
