Trion & Co

Charu Srivastava AMIPRS, our Chief Strategy Officer and Corporate Affairs Lead, is at Corp Comms Asia 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which is happening over 2 days. Charu delivered a keynote presentation and participated in a panel at the conference yesterday.

Charu’s keynote was on “Crafting Authentic Narratives: The Essence of Effective Storytelling For Brand Reputation, Relevance and Relationships”. During her session, she stressed how authenticity needs to be the core pillar of brand narratives in a world where lies and false narratives get exposed with speed and surety. Charu also shared how strategic storytelling can be used to achieve business objectives for B2B companies and organisations. Her key point was for all brands, regardless of industry, to be authentic and real in their storytelling to build, maintain and protect trust.

The panel Charu participated in was on “Exploring The Intersection of CSR, Sustainability, and Narrative for Business Growth in the Modern Era” alongside fellow industry leaders Erin Carter, PR, Internal Communications and Corporate Affairs, lululemon, Priscilla Alfred, Head of Customer Strategy, Air Selangor and Marcus Loh, Director, Temus. The panel raised important points on how companies can balance genuine ESG efforts with scepticism from stakeholders as well as the challenges in rolling out sustainable CSR initiatives that survive beyond check-box exercises. The conversation also touched on the evolution of CSR and sustainability and what lies ahead. As Charu said, true ESG comes from it being embedded into the DNA of the company and from a genuine intent to do good.
