Trion & Co

Freelancing was not what I expected. I soon realised that there are a multitude of projects that are impossible for one person to undertake.

I needed help, and I needed someone I can trust to deliver nothing but the best. This was an easy decision, I know two capable professionals who deliver nothing but the highest quality work consistently.

The two are none other than Charu and Marion. Although they have extremely dry jokes, I admire their ambition, capabilities and work ethic.

We soon realised that our combined knowledge and experience can bring clients immense value – which is why we decided to launch TriOn & Co, a strategic communications consultancy.

TriOn offers tailored communications services and special consultancy projects that are crucial in today’s macroeconomic climate. Such projects include – business restructuring communications for organisations undergoing retrenchment or leadership changes, as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) audit and strategy.

When establishing TriOn, the approach is simple – we all just want to do damn good work for our clients without overcomplications.

We want to take our best experiences and practices from some of the most successful agencies we previously worked at.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane. I was fortunate to have worked with Redhill to expand its fintech practice – including onboarding clients in the fintech space, while building the team’s capabilities to service technical clients in the finance, crypto and Web3 industry. Before Redhill, I felt that my professional skill-set skyrocketed after joining Wachsman. It allowed me to understand the ins and outs of the Web3 space, while providing services beyond traditional communications, such as strategic advisory and management consulting. Lastly, I would not have been in PR if not for RICE, where I had the chance to be based in Beijing and Hong Kong to support its overseas expansion into Greater China.

With over three decades of experience between Charu, Marion and myself, we want to achieve two key things at TriOn:

  1. Do good work for clients – We love what we do. We love delivering good work for clients. Charu, Marion and myself have consistently proved to deliver outstanding work for our clients, partners and community. However, unnecessary overcomplications can hinder good quality work. As such, we want to create a consultancy that is honest, transparent and drama-free – both internally and externally. I truly believe an environment like this will allow everyone to shine and get the best value!
  2. Invest in our talent – Consultancies have a bad reputation for long hours and slave driving talent. This has to change. The key product for all consultancies are its people. If big corporations are investing large percentages of their time into R&D every year, consultancies need to invest in its people too. To do this, we will develop policies to create an environment that drives mental health wellness, work life balance and flexibility – while offering programs and mentorship to grow our consultants’ career. We are committed to practising what we preach, and it begins with the trust and respect we have in each other.

Wow, this post is longer than anything I have written! And on this note, we are taking on selected projects for now. If anyone on LinkedIn would like to hear more, let’s meet up for a coffee!
